CONFERENCE CENTER DESIGN
Meetings are where people interact to exchange ideas and effect change in their organizations. Properly designing a conference center from the start can help your customers experience a productive environment to achieve their goals, as well as help you operate efficiently and profitably.
We work closely with the project owners, developers and architects to ensure that the facility design is consistent with the specific demand characteristics for the project. We provide a comprehensive list of space programming elements including ideal meeting room dimensions and capacities, restaurant GSF and capacities, public and back of house space requirements, and central networking areas. Design and operational impediments that can potentially interfere with workflow and guest traffic are identified.
PHG’s design template is designed to help owners, investors, managers, architects, contractors, engineers, interior designers and others understand the requirements of a successful conference center. As such, it will:
• Explain the basic parts of a fully integrated hotel and conference center
• Provide guidelines for conceptualizing area layout and the design criteria requirements for various spaces
• Outline the design issues that must be considered when discussing plans with architects, contractors and others
involved in the design and construction process
• Help all parties feel more informed and comfortable in those discussions
